Community Project: Ronald McDonald House (Meals that Heal) (Sold Out!)

Jan 20, 2020 |2:00PM-5:30PM

Since 1984, Ronald McDonald House has provided a welcoming, safe, affordable, and temporary accommodation for families of children being treated at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario. Ronald McDonald House Ottawa provides an oasis of peace and hope, and families will find support and comfort from the caring staff and volunteers. The House is a place where families share and receive moral support from each other, where they can keep their lives as normal as circumstances allow. Children who are being treated as outpatients can reside at the House with their families.

At this Community Project, students will be cooking a meal from start to finish for the families. This is a simple yet rewarding way to give back to the community and make life easier for those around you.

Please note, anyone with any signs of illness is not permitted in the house out of concern for the children with compromised immune systems.

Students must register in advance. Space is limited, as there is a 6-person maximum.

Please note this Community Project is sold out. Check out our Events Calendar for more upcoming events!
