Cookies & Consent: Sweet Skills for Real Life
Feb 11, 2026 |12pm-1:30pm
Let’s be real, talking about consent can feel awkward, but what if you could practice it while making delicious cookies?
Consent & Cookies is a hands-on, low-pressure workshop where you’ll explore what good consent looks like in everyday situations through the fun (and tasty) process of building your own custom cookie.
You’ll practice asking, offering, negotiating, and respecting boundaries—all while choosing your favourite ingredients and creating a snack that’s totally your style.
We’ll break down the basics of consent in a way that’s clear, relatable, and useful. Learn how to:
- Ask for what you want (without it being weird)
- Say no (and feel good about it)
- Handle rejection with respect
- Understand how power and gender can shape our experiences
Whether you’re new to the topic or just want to build your confidence, this workshop offers a fun, meaningful way to bring consent into your everyday relationships, on campus, in your community, and beyond.
Plus, attend for a chance to win prizes and take part in fun giveaways during the event!
Open to all Algonquin College students.
Please note: Some allergens might be present, we will do our best to accommodate but may not be able to accommodate all needs.
