Dog Training 101

Barking, jumping, and chewing, oh my!

New dog owners, future dog owners, and seasoned dog owners alike are encouraged to attend this session. Join Emma Murdock, professional dog trainer and owner of Walk With Me Ottawa, for this virtual dog training session that will highlight simple and effective tips, tricks, and tactics for training your furry friends.

Join us at 12:45pm (15 minutes before the main event begins) to meet Jessie the British Bulldog and her owner Shelley from the Algonquin College Dog Squad! Learn about Jessie and her role in the Dog Squad, ask questions, and settle in before the main event. You can follow the AC Dog Squad on Instagram at @acdogsquad.

This event is open to all Algonquin College students, alumni, and employees. Advance registration is required. You will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting after you register.

About the Speaker

Emma Murdock is the founder, owner, and operator of Walk With Me Ottawa – Ottawa’s leading dog training, walking, and boarding company. Walk With Me Ottawa has 15 dog walkers, 6 dog trainers, and 46 acres of private fenced-in land, plus they are currently building a facility to better serve their training clients!

Emma hosts and attends workshops with some of the best dog trainers around the world and she also competes in various dog sports. Emma is also the founder of Frostbite Working Dog Club – Ottawa’s only PSA club (protection sports association), which is a highly competitive sport involving bite work and precision obedience.
