It All Adds Up
Nov 09, 2020 - Nov 13, 2020
Are you feeling stressed about your career and job search? Do you feel pressure to keep “doing more”? When is the right time to start thinking about your career when you’re in college?
To answer these questions, the Employment Support Centre is taking over Student Services’ Instagram account (@algonquincollegess) from November 9-13 as part of the annual national career-wellness campaign It All Adds Up.
This campaign will help you reflect on your activities, interests, and skills inside and outside the classroom, so you can feel more confident in your connection to career and job opportunities.
The Employment Support Centre is here to help you build confidence so you can see how your experiences are already “adding up” to your career. Find out how by taking part in this campaign!
Schedule
Throughout the week:
The Employment Support Centre will be featuring polls and questions on Instagram to get you thinking about your career. Take part by sharing your thoughts and ideas! They will also be highlighting the unique tools and resources you have access to as an Algonquin College student on the Student Services Facebook and Twitter accounts — be sure to check them out.
Monday, November 9 • 11am
Join the Algonquin College (@algonquincollege) and Student Services (@algonquincollegess) Instagram accounts live to kick off It All Adds Up. They’ll be chatting about the campaign, plus highlighting key skills that employers are looking for. Don’t miss out!
Friday, November 13 • 11am
Wrap up It All Adds Up by joining Algonquin College and Student Services on Instagram live. Get answers to the questions you and other students have submitted, gain better understanding of the ways in which you’re currently creating a career path, and learn how you can incorporate any tips or strategies going forward in your career.
