Mental Health Awareness Week (MHAW) is an annual Algonquin College education campaign designed to help open the eyes of students and employees to the benefits of staying mentally healthy. Join us for a variety of events from January 28 to February 1.
Health Promotion Booth
10am-1pm in Student Commons
Stop by to chat with our Health Promoters, pick up free mental health resources, and play our Mental Health Plinko game!
DIY Calming Jars
11am-2pm in Student Commons
Make your own DIY glitter jar! When you need to unwind, simply shake the jar and focus your mind on the mesmerizing glitter patterns. It’s an easy and creative way to build mindfulness into your routine! First come, first served. While supplies last. Presented in partnership with AC Project Lighthouse.
Paws 4 Stress
1pm-3pm in E206 (2nd floor, Student Commons)
Take a break from your day to enjoy the cuddly company of some furry friends! Meet some friendly dogs and pet your stress away.
