AC Mood Walks (Wednesdays)

Aug 14, 2019 |12:50-15:00

Outdoor walks for inner wellness.

AC Mood Walks for Campus Mental Health invites you to stay active and spend time outdoors, as a way to improve physical and mental health. Walking in nature has been proven to provide health benefits, and Mood Walks are an opportunity to explore your community, meet new friends, and walk your way to greater wellness! Learn more on the Counselling website.

Mood Walk participants meet Wednesdays at 12:50pm at the Bio Wall (1st Floor, ACCE/CA Building). The walks take place from 1pm to 3pm (walking time is typically 1 hour, with the remaining time used for transportation as needed).

Note: There will be no Mood Walks on July 31 or August 7.

Register for each Mood Walk on Eventbrite. (Drop-in participants will be welcome to join if space allows, but advance registration is recommended). Open to all Algonquin College students.

Each walk will take place outdoors in all weather. Make sure to wear suitable closed-toe shoes and appropriate clothing (e.g. warm clothes, hats, mitts, umbrellas, etc). Bring water, sunscreen, and a light snack if desired.

Many routes start directly from campus, while others start a short bus ride or drive from campus. OC Transpo may be used for some routes, so bring your U-Pass or a transit fare (fare support may be available if needed).
