The Strategic Learning In the College Environment (SLICE) conference is a virtual transition event for students with disabilities starting their first year at Algonquin College. A free, half-day event, SLICE gives you an overview of the services of the Centre for Accessible Learning (CAL) and Algonquin College. You will get a chance to hear from and engage with upper-level students and professors and have opportunities to develop self-advocacy and post-secondary survival skills.
Slice Overview
Students will have the opportunity to participate in a series of virtual sessions and activities, including:
- Keynote presentation
- Review of CAL services and supports
- Virtual team quest
- Student/Faculty panel discussion
Algonquin College is a Bring Your Own Device (B.Y.O.D) environment. Please bring your mobile device to use during SLICE if needed. Devices are not provided.
