Take Back the Night

Take Back the Night is an annual rally and protest against sexual and gender-based violence. Take Back the Night celebrates, supports, and empowers survivors, while creating safer communities and healthier relationships through awareness, activism and advocacy.

Participants will take part in a sign-making event in the AC Hub on Sept. 20 from 11 am – 1 pm , then on Sept. 22, at 5 pm participants are invited to meet at the Student Commons where they will march to Take Back the Night!

Transportation will be provided. Space is limited.

What is Project Lighthouse? Project Lighthouse aims to shine light on the topic of sexual violence and help you navigate healthy sexual relationships. Through compassion, education, and awareness, this initiative aims to reduce sexual violence at Algonquin College and support survivors of sexual violence. Look for events and programming on campus to get involved. You can also view a list of on- and off-campus supports at the Ottawa, Pembroke, and Perth campuses.
