Recreation and Leisure Services Entry Level 3: Student Expression of Interest

The Faculty of Health and Community Studies now offers an intake to Level 3 of the Recreation and Leisure Services (0422X) Program to graduating students of the Fitness and Health Promotion Program. This means that Fitness and Health Promotion graduates may enter the second year of the 4 year program.

The 2nd year will next be offered in Fall 2020, starting with level 3 in September 2020 (20F), with level 4 being offered in Winter of 2021 (21W).

Admission criteria for the program:

Algonquin College graduates of the Fitness and Health Promotion (3010X) Ontario College Diploma program who have maintained a minimum GPA of 1.0/4.0 (50%, D-) and who have a valid Police Records Check for Service with the Vulnerable Sector and CPR and First Aid may be granted 16/33 course exemptions towards a Recreation and Leisure Services Ontario College Diploma.

The equal consideration deadline for submissions is April 30th, 2020 – applications after this date will be considered on a first-come-first-served basis. You will be assessed against the above admission criteria.
