Criteria for Being a CCSR Award Recipient

The CCSR Awards recognize outstanding contribution and excellence by individuals and corporations in carrying out and following the core values of Social Responsibility.

The CCSR Awards recipients have demonstrated an ongoing and unwavering commitment to the achievement and creation of shard value for their organizations and the community.

  1.  The Initiative:
    1. Degree to which the initiative can meet the identified need/objective.
    2. Degree of innovation
    3. Potential for replication
    4. Degree of community/Business support and engagement
    5. Degree to which the initiative goes beyond a double bottom line (people, profit, planet)

  2. The Recipient:
    1. Level of benefit to the Recipient and the initiative
    2. The degree of alignment with the Recipient’s mission, goals and objectives

  3. The Community:
    1. Level of benefit to the community from having this initiative
    2. Potential for replication into other areas
    3. Degree of support and engagement

Corporate & Community Social Responsibility (CCSR) Nomination for Business Ethics Award

The selection criteria are:

  1. A clear organizational commitment to business ethics and ethical business practices. In this instance, we look for the following:
    • The inclusion of senior managers with responsibility for business ethics within the organizational structure
    • Clear and open commitments to ethical business practices in organizational publications and materials
    • Inclusion of training and education re: ethical business practices in staff training and professional upgrading
    • A corporate culture that clearly values and rewards ethical business practices
    • A firm commitment to sustainability reporting.
  2. An established record for excellence in business ethics, including a solid and sustained reputation for working honorably and fairly with employees, customers, and communities (national and international). In this instance we look for the following:
    • Clear record for ethical business practices
    • Reputational comments and observations from specialists in the field of business ethics (identified through our conservations with these specialists)
    • Strong community, regional and national recognition of the company
    • The absence of major controversies or sustained critical comments about corporate business practices.
