If you are currently enrolled in a cooperative education work term and employed by a co-op employer, it’s essential to notify the Co-op & Career Centre if you withdraw. Please reach out to your Co-op Student Advisor for guidance on your next steps. If you are in your co-op work semester, you should also inform your co-op employer that you are withdrawing from your program and that you are no longer able to continue working as a Co-op Student.
If your education is sponsored by an organization (Bands, Second Career etc.) you should reach out to your sponsor to let them know you are withdrawing or being withdrawn by the College. In some cases, your sponsor will expect you to pay back the money they are forfeiting for tuition.
For more details about sponsorships and what happens if you are withdrawn, please visit the Sponsorship for Full-time Program Registrations page.
If you have any questions, contact sponsorship@algonquincollege.com.
A refund can be issued only before the withdrawal deadline from your program, which is ten business days into a new semester. You can do this by emailing lockers@algonquincollege.com.
If you received OSAP, you should review the OSAP FAQ to understand how withdrawing affects your OSAP funding. If you have questions about the impact withdrawing from your program may have on your OSAP Loan or Bursaries, you should contact your Financial Aid Officer.
Refunds for any annual, monthly, and weekly permits are available through the Algonquin College Parking Services Office. To obtain a refund for a parking permit, email Parking Services at parking@algonquincollege.com. The refund will be calculated and processed based on the day the refund request was sent. Full details are available in the Parking Permit Refund Policy.
If you live in the Algonquin College Residence, you must inform the Residence front desk that you are withdrawing or being withdrawn by the College from your program. Find more information about withdrawing from Residence on the Residence Withdrawal & Cancellation Policy page.
Refunds for College-Initiated Withdrawals
