Combines theory with practical skills

The Construction Engineering Technician program at Algonquin College combines theory and practical skills in preparation for students to find employment in residential and commercial construction.

Based on input from local industry leaders, students learn about topics that are in current demand in the industry, including surveying, construction materials, estimating, and construction documentation.

Learn in state-of-the-art facilities

This program is offered in the LEED®Platinum Certified Algonquin Centre for Construction Excellence (ACCE) Building. The Centre offers 190,000 square feet of space which allows for all of the construction and related design programs to be housed in a single location. This inter-professional space encourages collaboration between disciplines and offers many integrated and cross-program learning opportunities for students.
