Mission: Building Skills, Transforming Lives

Volunteer Position Description: Christie Lake Kids invests in the lives of Children and Youth in economically disadvantaged situations in Ottawa. We provide arts, recreation and leadership programs as well as weekend and summer camp experiences free of charge. Currently, we are doing a widespread volunteer ask for a variety of programs beginning in late September 2018 through to May 2019. The positions are:

  • Cooking (Instructor for Class)
  • Art Helper
  • Gym Programs
  • Yoga
  • Leaders in Training
  • Hockey Assistants
  • Guitar (Other instruments welcome).

If you want to volunteer in a supporting role we also need:

  • Bus Drivers
  • Chefs for weekly meals

Volunteer Position Requirements:

  • Police Record Check
  • Interacting with the public / in a group setting

How Should Volunteers Apply: Applicants are asked to email Adam Janes ajanes@christielakekids.com to express your interest. If you do not currently have a valid Police Record Check, a letter may be provided to assist you in acquiring one free of charge.
