Mission: Ecology Ottawa is a non-partisan, non-profit environmental organization. We work to make Ottawa the green capital of Canada, and we’re running an Elections Campaign in an important swing riding this summer.

Volunteer Position Description:

This person would ideally have leadership experience as well as canvassing experience. However, all are encouraged to contact Alison at alison.gu@ecologyottawa.ca, regardless of past experience. We recognize that not all individuals have equal opportunities to gain leadership and canvassing experience.

This person would run canvass sessions, train any new volunteers on canvassing, and canvass. They must be able to dedicate at least 1 day a week to canvassing. Including travel time, this would work out to be 5-6 hours a week.

Volunteer Position Requirements:

• Standing for long periods of time
• Outdoor Activities
• Interacting with the public / in a group setting
