Mission:

Make Music Matter started with a song to sensitize youth in Rwanda about HIV/AIDS; and it became so much more. Through a partnership with the Panzi Hospital & Foundation in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, founded by Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Dr. Denis Mukwege, the Healing in Harmony program was formed. The program uses local and culturally appropriate psychosocial models to address the anxiety, depression, and PTSD that result from experiencing trauma.

About A4A Records & Publishing
A4A Records & Publishing is a company that has emerged from Make Music Matter. Through close collaboration with Warner Music Canada, A4A releases music from the Healing in Harmony programs of Make Music Matter’s sites around the world, among other projects like Artists for Sudan.

A4A presents marginalized artists to the world, helping to make positive change one voice at a time.

Volunteer Position Description:

Make Music Matter and A4A Records & Publishing is seeking an experienced GRAPHIC DESIGNER (VOLUNTEER) who is motivated by working within a dynamic, global team to help make change through music. In this position, you will be working closely with the Media and Communications Officer and the Volunteer & Publishing Manager – both affiliated with Make Music Matter and A4A Records & Publishing.

Since its creation in 2009, Make Music Matter has been run by a dedicated team of volunteers and consultants together with our CEO and founder, Darcy Ataman who is also co-founder of A4A (Artists for Artists Records & Publishing) alongside renowned Grammy award-winning producer David Bottrill.

Specifically, the position will entail the following:

  • Help bring to life and present in the best manner possible, two new projects: the 2020 A4A Remix Project and 2020
  • Community of Mixing and Mastering Engineers.
  • Design graphic material for social media, cover artwork, etc.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have a strong portfolio of Graphic Design work
  • Be creative, innovative, and enthusiastic

Location: Remote (working with a team in Ontario)
Duration: up to 2-5 hrs per week for 2 months (flexible)
Compensation: Volunteer with approved administration expenses covered

Volunteer Requirements:

  • Standing for long periods of time
  • Sitting for long periods of time
