ART 0028 – Strategies in Drawing I

Course Description

Drawing in contemporary art involves technical and conceptual ways of thinking. Students begin with observational drawing exercises to hone technical skills. Conceptual exercises guide students through understanding how drawing can be used as a tool of communication. Students explore a wide range of drawing papers and media, including graphite, charcoal, and ink, while learning about the conservation and protection of artwork.
