FAM1131 – Addictions

Course Description

Addictions affect people of all walks of life, in virtually all practice areas. Students gain basic knowledge regarding substance abuse and addiction recovery. Students learn the issues involved in dependency and how to work with clients who are using or misusing substance. Emphasis is placed on the student’s capacity to examine their own attitudes towards people who use substances, so that they can help without judgment.
