What is this course all about?
Wellness is a core concept in optimal health and an essential part of the practice of massage therapy. Students
discuss concepts of optimal health and wellness from a biopsychosocial perspective and discover how stress,
mental health challenges and lifestyle choices can impact their capacity to make healthy choices. They develop
strategies for improving nutrition, physical activity and mindfulness through experiential learning activities. Lectures
include videos, group work, and reflective exercises.
