Project Description:

The client Satinder Sahota approached us to create a Bi-lingual mobile first website which should be displayed in both English and Punjabi Language. The client also requested certain functionalities like newsletters, memberships, donations, events etc. which have been implemented in the product. The team consisted of 6 members and each member had their respective roles in the development of the project. The main users of this product are the members/volunteers and the BOD. As a solution to this project we started developing the website and the software used for the development of the website is WordPress and to further implement the functionalities asked by the client we have used certain plugins like Event Manager, newsletter, Elementor etc. This is a standalone system so there are no adjacent systems or dependencies. By taking this project we all have gained new knowledge of WordPress and web development and are confident in working on projects from now on. The website was developed locally and then later migrated to a hosting server. The hosting service we used was Rebel which operates within Canada. All rules and regulations have been followed during the making of this project. Since the client has asked for a responsive website the website is tested to run flawlessly in Mobile view and Tablet view. Overall this was a great experience to know hands on what a work environment feels like.
