Our project transforms raw survey data into a dynamic 3-D AutoCAD draft that captures every nuance of the Elmridge tennis court. By integrating advanced total station measurements with a thorough light assessment to verify optimal lux levels, we’re crafting an immersive digital model that not only visualizes current conditions but also forms the foundation for a detailed cost estimate. This creative approach allows our client to clearly envision the necessary improvements, ensuring that every recommendation is backed by precise, innovative design and actionable data.
This website redesign was created for Centre33 by the Spectrum Studios team of the Interactive Media Design program at Algonquin College.
Centre33 Kanata, established in 2022, offers a variety of programs and activities for 2SLGBTQIA+ youth. These include a drop-in program, Alphabet Soup, and other programs for trans and gender-diverse children aged 8–11. The organization fosters community connections by supporting families and building professional networks for those who assist queer and trans individuals. Additionally, Centre33 provides mental health support, including youth counseling, guidance for those navigating the coming-out process, and youth diversion.
The project aims to create an accessible, inclusive, and user-friendly online platform that reflects the organization’s commitment to providing a safe space for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. The redesigned website will prioritize accessibility for individuals with diverse needs, ensuring compliance with accessibility standards while offering clear and straightforward navigation.
The team began developing the website’s style guide with sans serif fonts for a clean, readable look. The color palette centers on purple for creativity and inclusivity, aligning perfectly with the brand’s mission to provide a safe and inclusive space for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. Supported by timeless black and white ensuring adaptability, with brown as a warm accent for balance. And also, incorporating some custom vector arts, although not being flashy, but more of little accents to bring in the playfulness of rainbow colors.
The team will work to streamline website navigation by organizing content into its respective pages, simplifying the sign-up process for programs and events with integrated forms, providing multiple donation options for Centre33, and enhancing accessibility by integrating the “Userway” plugin to support users with disabilities.

This exciting project revolutionizes Canada Post’s parcel processing by tackling the time-consuming manual handling of non-conformance packages. With millions of parcels flowing through daily, the current system struggles to process the 0.6% of damaged or unreadable labels, forcing depot clerks to manually input information. Enter Team ENIGMatic: we’ve developed an innovative Android app, LabelXtract, that harnesses the power of Optical Character Recognition (OCR) to instantly scan these problematic labels. No more manual entry—just fast, accurate scans that streamline operations and reduce costs. The app’s results are stored in a simple, efficient JSON format, offering a seamless and ultra-efficient solution to what was once a labor-intensive process. This game-changing tool not only boosts productivity but also enhances accuracy, making parcel processing faster and more reliable than ever before.
IMD Makers is a platform designed to showcase the talent, creativity, and technical expertise of graduating students from the Interactive Media Design (IMD) program. Our goal was to create a visually engaging, professional, and user-friendly space where students can present their work and connect with industry professionals.
To ensure the best possible experience, we conducted an in-depth analysis of portfolio websites, examining industry trends, usability, and design principles. By reviewing successful case studies, we identified key elements that enhance user engagement, accessibility, and branding. These insights guided our decisions in crafting a platform that reflects both the individuality of students and the identity of the IMD program as a whole.
As part of this initiative, we developed a new brand identity, including a redesigned logo and comprehensive branding guidelines to maintain consistency across digital and print materials. This new identity reinforces the program’s innovation, creativity, and professionalism, ensuring IMD Makers stands out as a polished and recognizable platform.
The student profiles are at the core of IMD Makers, offering a dedicated space for graduates to showcase their skills and achievements. Each profile includes a bio, profile picture, portfolio pieces, contact information, and social links, making it easier for employers to explore student work and connect with emerging talent.
IMD Makers is more than just a website; it’s a bridge between students and industry opportunities, positioning graduates for success while promoting the IMD program as a hub of cutting-edge digital design and development. By refining the program’s identity, enhancing the student experience, and applying industry research, we’ve created a platform that not only celebrates talent but also fosters professional growth.
