Leaving cooking unattended is one of the leading causes of household fires in Canada. Whether or not the user leaves the stovetop unattended intentionally, there exists a clear need for a system that will detect, prevent and stop stovetop fires from occurring. The Safety Automated Stovetop System (SASS) is a set of devices that integrate safety features into existing electrical stovetops to do just this.

The Smart Plant-Growing System is an advanced, scalable solution that harmonizes hardware and software innovations for comprehensive plant care.
Its core is an controller orchestrating independent modules, each dedicated to specialized tasks such as lighting, watering, and climate regulation, The system delivers low-latency, autonomous control across all modules.
Key features include intelligent light scheduling (with sunrise/sunset simulations), sensor-driven irrigation, and dynamic temperature/humidity management.
A lightweight machine learning model on the controller to predicts environmental changes (e.g., temperature, humidity, wind speed), enabling proactive adjustments.
A dedicated Web UI allows real-time monitoring, flexible configuration, and QR-code-based sharing of settings, with planned enhancements support for simplified network access and optional cloud connectivity.
This integrated approach makes the Smart Plant-Growing System a robust, user-friendly platform for indoor gardening, research, and sustainable horticulture.
The purpose of this project is to develop a web application hosted on Azure for the School of Advanced Technology to address the current challenges in acquiring and managing projects for various project courses. The current process lacks a centralized system, making it difficult to track and organize projects effectively. By creating this system, we aim to provide a structured and efficient way for the school to manage client input, classify projects, and monitor their progress. This solution will also allow for future scalability as additional features are integrated over upcoming semesters, ensuring the system remains adaptable to evolving needs.
Currently, project acquisition and tracking are managed manually, which can lead to inefficiencies and difficulties in scaling the process as the school grows. The existing approach is not sustainable, as it cannot accommodate the increasing complexity of the school’s programs and the growing number of projects. As such, the school has requested a modern, secure, and expandable system to address these challenges and provide a better experience for clients and professors.
Lack of transportation or “transport poverty” is not only a challenge faced by the Lanark County
but has been so for many rural areas in Canada, indigenous communities and even some urban
cities according to University of Toronto study which will be discuss later in this report. This case
study intended to analyse the factors contributing to this issue with reference to study experts and
suggest solutions that can be used to better not only Lanark, but also other communities/cities
faced with the same challenges.

Team Borderless worked closely with Kon Korazon Designs to build a strong digital presence that supports both its entrepreneurial and educational goals. We developed a cohesive brand identity and designed a responsive, user-friendly WordPress website. The website features an engaging blog that highlights textile artistry, a space to showcase handmade products and custom commission options, and seamless social media integration. Prioritizing ease of navigation, mobile-friendliness, and future scalability, the website serves as both a learning hub for textile arts and a platform for attracting customers seeking one-of-a-kind handmade pieces.
This study evaluates the feasibility of using locally sourced clay from Waskaganish, Quebec, to produce structural-grade concrete blocks. Through material testing, block manufacturing, and performance evaluation, the study explores sustainable alternatives to imported materials. Findings highlight the potential for cost reduction, local economic growth, and integration of clay-based products in regional construction.
The “Automatic Packaging System Project” aims to create a system that uses robots to package items in a warehouse. In this system, a robotic arm picks up boxes from a conveyor belt and places them onto a skid. After the boxes are stacked, they are wrapped up for protection.
The main goals of the project are to make the packaging process faster, reduce errors, and ensure that the items are packed securely. By automating this process, the project hopes to save time and money for warehouse operators.
The text also describes how the system will be built and the tools that will be used, like the robotic arm and conveyor belt. Overall, the project aims to help warehouses work more efficiently and get items ready for transportation quickly.
The system is designed as a physiotherapy aid for individuals who have temporarily lost movement in their lower body, and have been confined to a wheelchair. In normal conditions, such individuals would gradually lose their sense of balance due to their lack of movement, making their recovery even more difficult.
This device will be able to accommodate a person in a wheelchair, and during use will be able to rotate and move the user in 2 different axes. It will be able to achieve this using a mounted table, and hydraulic actuators to provide the movement. This form of therapy will make sure the user does not lose their sense of balance, hastening their path towards full recovery.
ePost website is used to address the growing challenges of managing and retrieving saved digital content across multiple social media platforms. It allows users to manage and save their posts into folders which allow a cleaner and easier space to retrieve saved posts.
