Join the Algonquin College: Victimology Research Centre (VRC) for a virtual event bringing attention to the prevalence of concussion/mTBI in people who have experienced intimate partner violence. Panelists will discuss the risk factors and barriers that women in marginalized communities face when accessing support, the neuroscience of concussions, and the importance of understanding their effects on brain health and long-term recovery. The VRC team will share updates from the applied research project, Applying Concussion Recovery Technology to Support Survivors of Intimate Partner Violence.

With funding from the Department of Justice Victims and Survivors of Crime Week 2024, this event is a crucial step in raising awareness around this vital issue.

All victims, survivors, and service providers welcome!
