Success Stories and Testimonials

This is the right program for you if you are looking to meet industry professionals, and to get good client and internship experience.”
Lindsay Waters, Graduate

“Seeing MRBI on a resume certainly gets our attention. For us, the MRBI program has been an extremely valuable asset among new hires. Over the past few years, almost all of the people we have hired have come through the MRBI program and we have seen a dramatic improvement in how rapidly our new colleagues get up to speed.

We are finding that those who join us with both a university degree AND the MRBI graduate certificate require less training and can be playing roles on client projects almost immediately. Seeing MRBI on a resume certainly gets our attention.”
– Doug Anderson, CMRP, Principal, The Earnscliffe Strategy Group

“This program is exactly what the industry needs. In the past, local employers of marketing researchers were simply not able to find enough qualified people to sustain their business models. This program is exactly what the industry needs. MRBI graduates are able to step into a company and immediately start adding value.”
– Rick Hobbs CMRP, Marketing Research Consultant

Work-Integrated Learning

Marketing Research and Analysis students gain valuable hands-on experience through individual presentations, group case studies, team projects for clients and internships through work placements or work projects. Students have opportunities to network with research professionals at speaker’s events and conferences.

They develop the skills to use current research software tools including SPSS, MarketSight, Survey Monkey, and Environics Envision, and gain real-world experience by working on a marketing research project for a real client from start to finish.

Students also have the option to further their real-world experience through a paid co-operative education (co-op) work term. Please note that places in the co-op work term are subject to availability and academic eligibility. Admission to the co-op program does not guarantee a co-op placement.

Several public and private sector organizations have previously provided work placements for Marketing Research and Analysis students, including Transport Canada, Statistics Canada, Health Canada, Ramius Corporation, Ipsos Reid, CAA, Phoenix SPI, Quorus Strategy and others.
