Success Stories and Testimonials
“The program and co-op component were great in providing opportunities to apply course concepts in a workplace setting. This bridging of theory to practical application is a skill I still use in my role today.”
– Brendan Lacelle, Senior Business Analyst, Graduate, BDO Canada

“The program allowed me to take a next step in my career in Project Management by furthering my knowledge in diverse areas through case studies and discussions with highly qualified teachers and classmates with a variety of backgrounds.
As an international student, the Co-op term was a pivotal first step for me into a career in the Canadian workforce and has increased my confidence to continue in this path”

Work-Integrated Learning
Applied Projects
Students acquire the creative, practical and advanced expertise required for overall project success via the combination of in-class and practical learning activities.
During the 2025 Winter term, students participated in 22 applied projects, including ten charity events, five market simulations, three PMOs, and others.
Students raise over $10k for charity
Student project teams raised an impressive $10,378.00 for local charities ($4,996.00 for Make-A-Wish Foundation, $2763.00 for the Legacy of Hope Foundation, and $2689.00 for the Heart and Stroke Foundation).
Charity projects included a comedy night at Cultures Comedy Club, a concert at Sonny’s Bar and Grill, a silent art auction at Stella Luna Café, and many more.
Hands-on project experience includes a work integrated learning opportunity, which serves as a vehicle for incorporating and applying skills obtained during the academic studies and providing an opportunity to handle real-life situations. Students also have the option to gain real-world experience through a paid co-operative education (co-op) work term (see Additional Information for more details).

The PM Connect Networking event hosted 78 attendees in the Observatory Campus Bar with support from the Project Management Institute, 12 program alumni, and 8 industry representatives, providing invaluable opportunity to network with industry leaders.
