Express Registration – On Campus Students

Is Express Registration right for you?

  • You are an Ottawa Campus student.
  • You prefer to complete an independent review of CAL supports and services without meeting face-to-face with an Accessibility Counsellor at this time. Note: You will still be assigned an Accessibility Counsellor and can request to meet with them at any time.
  • You only want testing accommodations.
  • You have appropriate documentation and a clear understanding of your accommodation needs.
  • You would like to receive an email with your accommodation plan and information on accessing supports and services.

This process is not right for you if you need in-class accommodations such as note-taking support or reduced course load. If this is the case, please use our Standard Registration process.

How to Register (Express)

Step 1: Complete CAL’s Privacy Notice and Service Review webform.

Step 2: Complete the confidential Express Registration Request for Support form. You can print or complete the form electronically.

Alternative formats of this form are available if requested – please contact the Welcome Centre.

Step 3: Gather your supporting documentation. Review our documentation requirements.

Step 4: Submit your Express Registration Request for Support form and documentation to the CAL via the Welcome Centre.

To protect your personal information, it is recommended you use one or more of the following security options when submitting the Express Registration Request for Support and/or medical documentation electronically.

  • When possible, use your Algonquin College email account (********@algonquinlive.com).
  • Add a password to the documents you are submitting. Important: Send the password in a separate email so your documents can be opened.

After you submit your application, our team will review your documentation. If eligible for accommodations via the Express process, we will follow up with you within 5-7 business days.
