CAL Registration

Students who are seeking accommodations and support through the Centre for Accessible Learning (CAL) are responsible for registering with the CAL and self-identifying as a student with a disability. We encourage you to register with the CAL upon acceptance or as early as possible prior to your academic start date. CAL services are confidential, free, and voluntary.

Ottawa Campus

If you are studying at Algonquin’s Ottawa campus, you can choose one of the following registration options that best suits your needs – Standard or Express:

Standard Registration Express Registration
Standard registration is best suited for students who would like an initial face-to-face (in-person or virtual) appointment with an Accessibility Counsellor. During your appointment, you will have the opportunity to review CAL supports and services and discuss your needs in detail with your assigned Accessibility Counsellor.

Key Tip: The form is shorter; the wait is longer.

Express registration is best suited for students seeking a streamlined process to access testing accommodations without having an initial face-to-face appointment with an Accessibility Counsellor. Through the Express process, you assume responsibility for independently reviewing CAL supports and services.

Key Tip: The form is longer; the wait is shorter, but you can only access test accommodations.
