CAL Registration

Students who are seeking accommodations and support through the Centre for Accessible Learning (CAL) are responsible for registering with the CAL and self-identifying as a student with a disability. We encourage you to register with the CAL upon acceptance or as early as possible prior to your academic start date. CAL services are confidential, free, and voluntary.

- More extensive accommodations (e.g. transcription services, sign language interpreting, specialized classroom equipment) can take up to 6-8 weeks to arrange.
- Testing accommodations through CAL Test Services must be booked by the deadlines posted on the CAL Test Services website.
Ottawa Campus
If you are studying at Algonquin’s Ottawa campus, you can choose one of the following registration options that best suits your needs – Standard or Express:

Apprenticeship
If you are in an apprenticeship program, contact the Apprenticeship Success Centre to access CAL services.
Pembroke

Dual Credit
If you are a student pursuing dual credit studies, please follow the registration procedures outlined above for the campus at which your course is being delivered.
Admissions Assessments or Academic Upgrading Tests
Contact the Welcome Centre to request accommodations for an admission or placement test.
