AC Staff Card

All Algonquin College employees are entitled to an employee AC Card. The following documents must be provided to Card Services staff prior to card issuance:

  • Your ID card is now part of the AC Card program. Please refer to Using Your AC Card for all services offered.
  • One (1) government issued piece of identification (you can upload this below).

Online Employee ID Card Photo Submission

  • Please review the details of the required passport-style photo. A photo suitable for the AC Card will meet the following criteria:
      Size and File Type
    • Dimensions of at least 544 x 627 pixels at 300 dpi.
    • In JPEG format. A sample file name is: 12345.jpg
    • No larger than 5Mb in file size.
      • Image Attributes
    • Passport style, color and taken in the last 6 months.
    • White background.
    • No borders.
    • No shadows.
    • Image should be properly focused.
      • Image Style
    • Ensure that you are the only person and that there are no obscure objects in photo.
    • No hats, sunglasses, or headphones. Eyeglasses should be worn if normally used. Headpieces are acceptable if worn daily for religious purposes.
    • No glare on eyeglasses if applicable.
    • Head should be positioned directly facing camera,
    • centered and compose 80% of image.
    • Eyes open and looking at camera.
    • Have a natural expression.
  • Accepted file types: jpg, Max. file size: 5 MB.
    Please upload your photo for your card here in .jpg format. Please label your photo as your employee number. For example 12345.jpg. Files should not exceed 5 MB.

    Acceptable Pieces of photo identification:

    • Passport
    • Driver’s Licence
    • Health Card
    • Citizenship Card
    • Credit Card (with photo)
    • Armed Forces ID
    • Certificate of Indian Status Card

    Your AC Card is also used for on Campus identification, access, and the Employee Meal Plan.

    Like the student AC Card, employees at the Ottawa campus have an AC Cash account on their card that can be loaded with funds here and used to purchase items across campus.
