I’m an international student

Graduating international students should review the ‘Graduating International Students’ webpage for more information on resources available to them.

For the most up-to-date information about Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), please refer to the IRCC website or call them at 1-888-242-2100. It is your responsibility to know the rules and regulations that apply to you as an international student.

The International Education Centre (IEC) can help answer your questions. Current international students may send immigration-related questions or book a meeting with an International Student Advisor on the ‘Contact an International Student Advisor’ webpage.

If a family member or friend would like to visit you in Ottawa, they will need to apply to visit Canada. For instructions on how to prepare an invitation, please visit the International Education Centre’s webpage ‘Inviting Friends or Family Members to Visit’. You can provide supporting documentation to help support their application to visit Canada, namely:
• Proof of Enrollment Letter
• Letter of Invitation
• Convocation details (optional)
