Registration Information
Demand for spaces at the ELC is high. Families interested in the program are encouraged to register their child on the wait list through the city of Ottawa Child Care Registry and Waitlist as soon as possible.
Registered Early Childhood Educators provide a play-based, emergent curriculum for;
- 10 infants (6 weeks-18 months),
- 15 toddlers (18 – 30 months),
- 24 preschoolers (30 months – 4 years, pre-kindergarten)
Waitlist Information
The mandate of the centre is to prioritize spaces for full time students and staff at Algonquin College. The allocation goal is 70% of the spaces for full time students; 15% for full time staff and faculty; and 15% for community families with no affiliation with the College. City of Ottawa manages the ELC waitlist through the Child Care Registry Waitlist which can be accessed at City of Ottawa Waitlist. If you are a full time student or staff of Algonquin College, please indicate your affiliation to the College on the waitlist application.

Important Information About Fees & Subsidy
The Early Learning Centre is participating in the Canada Wide Early Learning and Child Care System.
Please note that the fees listed below include all meals. Families are required to provide diapers, cream and sunscreen.
Fees (Effective December 31, 2022)
- Infants: $43.70 per day
- Toddlers: $43.70 per day
- Preschool: $26.96 per day
*fees may be subject to minor adjustment to align with city of Ottawa child care fee subsidy daily rates to be confirmed in February, 2023.
