Environmental Stewardship Coordinator, Environmental Services Department, City of Ottawa
Rebecca Aird is Environmental Stewardship Coordinator in the Environmental Services Department of the City of Ottawa, a role which includes working collaboratively with civil society groups on initiatives that support the City"s environmental mandate and Council's priorities. She is also founding chair of Sustainable Living Ottawa East, an organization that has established numerous projects to lighten the community’s environmental footprint and build community cohesion and vitality.
Prior to joining the City of Ottawa in 2010, Rebecca worked as an auditor with the federal Commissioner of the Environment and Sustainable Development, as senior environmental consultant and manager of consultation with Marbek Resource Consultants, and as an analyst and facilitator on local, national and international environmental initiatives.
