With more than 20 years experience in the utility and technology sectors, Richard has a solid understanding of the drivers and opportunities that currently power Ontario’s major conservation initiatives. During his three years at Hydro Ottawa, Richard has successfully grown customer awareness of and participation in Hydro Ottawa’s conservation program offerings. A testament to the value of his efforts, last year Oxford Properties saved over 375kW of electrical demand by retrofitting their heating/cooling infrastructure, receiving $295,000 of incentive funding for their efforts.

Before joining Hydro Ottawa, Richard spent several years working in the renewable energy sector where he successfully implemented one of the largest off-grid solar power systems in North America, which now provides backup power to support the United States southern border surveillance system. Richard’s expertise also includes sales experience with various forms of high tech solutions, and has worked for IBM Canada and Alpha Power Systems.
