AC in Toronto

Are co-op programs available?

The current program offerings do not have a co-op option. 

Can I receive a conditional Letter of Acceptance for any of Algonquin’s CDI programs?

Students who are expected to meet the minimum program requirements at least one month prior to the start of classes may apply for conditional admission.  Documentation outlining how the requirements will be met such as course or exam registration is required. 

There is no English for Academic Purposes program available at CDI College.  

Can I start at CDI College and transfer to the Ottawa campus?

No. Once you have registered in an Algonquin College program delivered by CDI College, you cannot transfer to the same program at any of the Algonquin College campuses. As part of the application process, you are required to sign a Non-Transfer Acknowledgement.

Can I transfer to another program at AC in other campuses in the future?

Transfers to the Ottawa, Perth, Pembroke campus within the original program are not permitted. Please refer to the mandatory Non-Transfer Acknowledgement form that each applicant will need to sign.

What is Public College – Private Partnership (PCPP)?

Algonquin College and CDI College have formed a partnership under the Ministry of Colleges and Universities (MCU) binding policy directive on Public College – Private Partnerships (PCPP).  The partnership provides an opportunity for students to enroll in select Algonquin College programs delivered by CDI College at its campuses in the Greater Toronto Area of Ontario. The first programs will be offered at the Mississauga campus beginning in Fall 2022.  

What kind of diploma will I receive when I graduate?

You will receive an Algonquin College Credential, normally an Ontario College Diploma (OCD) or Ontario College Graduate Certificate (OCGC) depending on your program of study.  

What services are offered by CDI College?

CDI College provides arrival services, support to find housing, academic advising, career and employment services and all other campus services that you need while you are a student. You can visit their website for more information at https://www.cdicollege.ca/study-on-campus/ontario/admissions/algonquin/. 

Who will issue the diploma/certificate?

Algonquin College issues your official diploma or certificate once you have completed all program requirements. 

Will I be eligible for PGWP after I complete the program?

How do I pay my fees?

How much will a semester cost?

Program fees are listed on the Tuition and Fees Estimator: https://www.algonquincollege.com/ro/pay/fee-estimator/. Please note that program fees are the same for domestic and international students.  

What are the refund policies?

Application

Are the admissions requirements and credentials the same for programs delivered by CDI College as campus as at Algonquin’s main campuses?

Yes, the admissions requirements are the same and graduates will receive the same credential as anyone applying and studying at Algonquin College’s Perth, Pembroke, or Woodroffe (Ottawa) campuses.

Can I apply for a second program using our facilitated Second Program Process?

Yes.

You can apply the same way as you would for other Algonquin College Programs, here: https://algonquincollege.my.site.com/myac360/s/.  

If you are an agent, you can continue to use your MyAC Portal. You will be able to select the CDI Greater Toronto Area programs in the program list (if open).

What documents do I need?

The application process is the same as for our programs in Ottawa, and you will need to meet the same requirements and provide the same documents, including academic transcripts and proof of English proficiency, with an additional CDI related Non-Transfer Acknowledgement form.
