How to Apply to AC in Toronto

AC in Toronto is a partnership between Algonquin College and CDI College in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). Students can enroll in select Algonquin College programs delivered by CDI College at its campuses in the Greater Toronto Area, including Mississauga and North York. This allows students to live and study in the Toronto area and graduate with an Algonquin College credential, making them eligible for a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP).

To ensure your application to an Algonquin College program, delivered by CDI College, has the best chance of success, follow our simple 8-step process.


Step 1: Confirm your program is open

Please Note:
You are on the AC in Toronto admissions page and should select CDI – Mississauga or CDI – North as the campus for programs in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).

Algonquin College has 3 other campuses – our main campus in Ottawa, and two satellite campuses – Perth (about 50 minutes from Ottawa) and Pembroke (about 1.5 hours from Ottawa). Step 4: Start the Online Application process

Start the online application process. Create a password for the online Application Portal. Login to upload your documents and pay your application fee.


Step 5: Receive a Letter of Acceptance

Step 8: Get in touch with CDI College to learn more about Orientation and Arrival Services in Toronto

CDI College provides an onboarding program for all its new students including orientation videos and presentations, campus tours, on-call technical support and a dedicated team of individuals to bring students onboard.

Live, virtual pre-arrival orientations will be available in select markets for students to ask questions and become acquainted with the process. Once registered, an orientation course for international students will be available in Moodle, the Learning Management System (LMS) and will cover success strategies and key information about life in Canada. This orientation will be offered at the beginning of every semester at designated intervals, for all international students. CDI College will also offer webinars for international students and virtual support from our international student services team.
