Diplomas (2 years)

General Arts and Science – English for Academic Purposes (EAP) (International)

Offered as a full-time program, Algonquin College’s English for Academic Purposes (EAP) provides language training in an academic environment. All faculty members hold degrees and professional TESL certification. The program covers various levels of instruction, from beginner to advanced, with courses in speaking, reading, writing, listening, pronunciation and grammar.

Costs for the 2023/2024 Academic Year

• $7,800 CAD for 14 weeks
• $3,900 CAD per level (7 weeks)

EAP Placement Test

An Algonquin College placement test is required in order to determine your EAP level if you do not have a valid IELTS score. Applicants without a valid IELTS score will be required to pay an additional $50 for the placement test prior to starting EAP. How to book your EAP placement test.

Algonquin College’s Incoming Study Abroad program is available to students who are currently studying at a postsecondary institution outside of Canada. Study Abroad students are able to study at Algonquin College for a maximum of 18 months as non-credential seeking students. Credit for courses that are successfully completed are often transferable towards the degree from their home institution. Students can create a study plan that works for them, ranging from 4 to 18 months in length, depending on the combination of studies you choose.
