Register for IELTS on Paper Test

We are still offering the traditional paper-based IELTS test for those who prefer writing by hand. IELTS on Paper tests are offered 1-2 times per month on Saturdays. Speaking tests take place on the day of the test between 12:40 and 18:00, after the written part is complete. You will receive the exact time of your speaking test on the day.

If you plan to take the IELTS test, it’s best to register early, as tests usually fill up several weeks in advance. Registration closes either when seats are full or one week prior to the test. Please note that no refunds are given for no-shows, transfers or cancellations within 5 weeks of the test date. Cancellations or transfers with more than 5-weeks’ notice are subject to a $75 administration fee.

Most tests fill up weeks in advance so it is best to register as soon as possible. This website is updated immediately when a test date is full. There is no need to contact the IELTS test centre to confirm if the dates are still available. The booking system is always up-to-date and accurate.

Fees

The price for the IELTS on Paper test is $369.00 for all venues.

What to bring

The only forms of identification that are accepted are a valid passport or Canadian Permanent Resident Card. We also accept Refugee Claimant documents. If you do not have one of these forms of identification, please contact at us at ielts@algonquincollege.com before registering.

Important: You MUST have the original identification you used when registering for the test in hand on test day. Otherwise, you will not be permitted to take the test and you will forfeit your test fee.
