First Name: Darrell
Last Name: Reynolds
Title: Chair

Darrell Reynolds, a graduate of Algonquin College’s forestry program in 1983, is the Operations North Supervisor-Assistant Park Superintendent for Algonquin Provincial Park. With a staff of 70, he is responsible for operating three campgrounds and a large interior camping program within the park. In the years before taking this position, Reynolds worked with the federal and provincial governments and the private forestry industry in various areas of forestry and park management. He has also worked as a resource liaison specialist with First Nations and Metis communities, taught part-time at Algonquin College, and worked voluntarily with faculty and students to maintain the quality of the Forestry Technician program offered at Algonquin’s Pembroke Campus. He believes the PAC and the perspectives its members offer provide the College with guidance on its program. “Working in the forestry industry, I feel it is important to ensure the quality of graduates entering the work world from this school,” says Reynolds. “The PAC representatives ensure the program, topics, certifications, and licences are relevant to the needs of the industry.”
