Leanne Thompson is the Senior Executive Assistant to both the Chair of the Board and the President and Chief Executive Officer of Hydro Ottawa. Prior to joining the company in 2002, she was self-employed as a consultant, providing administrative services to the Chair of Baker Group International. Thompson is a seasoned Senior Executive Assistant with over 30 years of experience with some of Ottawa’s most successful companies, including Cognos (now IBM), JetForm Corporation (now Adobe), and Minto Developments. Over the years, Thompson has implemented many new processes and procedures that increased efficiency significantly in several of her assigned roles. She is also very effective at training and mentoring individuals. Thompson has been a member of the Office Administration PAC since 2005 and served as Chair since 2016. She is also a member of the International Association of Administrative Professionals, the American Society of Administrative Professionals, and the C-Suite Executive Support Professionals. Participating on the PAC is something Thompson views as “an opportunity to utilize my knowledge and experience to assist in the development of the program and help ensure the program content is relevant to the current workplace
