Simpkin was invited to join the Library and Information Technician (LIT) Program Advisory Committee as a representative of the University of Ottawa Library, and is glad to bring an academic library perspective to the PAC. “I see the PAC as a way for employers in the National Capital Region to share information about the skills needed by library employees, now and in the future,” Simpkin says. She loves hearing updates on the LIT program, its current students, and the many alumni who have found rewarding careers in the library and information management field.
