Community Employment Services

Service Update from CES

Dear Bonnechere Valley community,
We wish to inform you that although our physical office in Eganville will permanently close effective Monday, December 1, 2025, we remain committed to providing continued support and community engagement in the area.
During this transition, services will continue through our Pembroke CES location, where our staff will be available to assist you by phone and virtually for appointments or job search assistance.
We are also pleased to share that a new satellite location in Eganville will be announced soon, offering in-person appointments to better serve the community.
We appreciate your understanding and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Sincerely,
The Community Employment Services Team

CES offers free support for job seekers and employers, through both in-person and virtual employment services. We’re open weekdays, view our hours of operation.

Community Employment Services (CES) provides employment assistance to individuals who are looking for work or re-training opportunities. We offer services in both English and French. Individuals who are seeking assistance in finding work are welcome to use our services.

Here is a full list of Employment Ontario programs and services offered at CES:

Integrated Employment Services: This is our main program and it supports people of all ages and backgrounds with securing employment and career information. The program is designed to offer the right supports based on client need. Some of our clients require the assistance of our resource centre, while others will work closely with an Employment Consultant to build a return to work action plan that may include a subsidized work experience with a local employer.

PACE—Prepare. Achieve. Connect. Employ: This 20-hour employment program makes job hunting easier by helping individuals with barriers get hired. CES builds skills, boost confidence, and gives tools to prepare for Renfrew County’s workforce. PACE offers a completion bonus up to $350.

Apprenticeship and CES: Learn the benefits of involving CES in your apprenticeship career planning and job search. We can provide direction for school studies, connect with employers and offer incentives to place apprentices in on-the-job training, and coordinate formal registrations.

Better Jobs Ontario: This program is intended to support individuals who have lost their jobs because of downsizing, layoffs or the pandemic within their employment sector and are struggling to find a new job that matches their skill set. Clients who are motivated to attend college to receive training in a new sector-specific occupation may qualify for funding to pay their educational costs.
