REGISTERED BEHAVIOUR ANALYST
(Commencing August 25, 2025)

LOCATION: Mary Street Education Centre, Pembroke

HOURS PER WEEK: 35 hours per week, 10 months a year

SUMMARY: The Registered Behaviour Analyst will take a lead role, along with other Registered Behaviour Analysts, in coordinating and supporting the efforts of multi-disciplinary school teams in providing consultation, training, and resource development on effective ABA strategies to support students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and others as required. This position will also collaborate in the development of the ASD After School Skills Development Programs across RCDSB.

RATE OF PAY: Annual salary grid range is $77,833 – $96,172 per year

Qualifications
In order of preference:
• Registered Behaviour Analyst designation;
OR
• Completion of a relevant university postgraduate program and currently working towards a BCBA designation

Skills and Experience
• 3-5 years clinical experience
• Experience working with children and youth with varied exceptionalities, in particular those who have autism spectrum disorders
• Training or experience in Practical Functional Assessment and Skill-Based Training Experience providing and/or facilitating adult learning and training
• Knowledge of the elementary and secondary education system in Ontario
• Familiarity with special education issues, particularly those relevant for children and youth with autism spectrum disorders
• Knowledge of local and regional community resources
• Ability to work in a team setting
• Good organizational, interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)
• Ability to work collaboratively with others

Duties:
• Develop, deliver and evaluate training programs and strategies at the school and school board
levels
• Build capacity among school based personnel
• Enhance collaboration and cooperation between community based service providers and schools
• Consult with teachers and other school staff, as well as student and parents
• Provide ABA expertise to the Special Education Department
• Establish productive working relationships with regional and provincial organizations linked to serving and supporting children with autism
• Liaise with community partners and the Ministry
• Provide behavioural consultation and/or assessment regarding behavioural strategies and interventions at the school level for individual students|
• Support the work of Inclusion Support Assistants
• Other duties as assigned; under the direction of Principal of Special Services
• Travel throughout the Board’s jurisdiction required with occasional travel to meetings
throughout the province.

The vacation periods for this position are over Christmas Break, March Break and approximately 8 weeks during the months of July and August.
