Job Description
Ivan’s Heating Inc. is a locally owned and growing HVAC company based in Cobden, Ontario. We specialize in HVAC systems for new custom built homes, heat-pump retrofits (both ducted & ductless), propane and natural gas furnace replacements, radiant heating and boiler installations, and also custom ductwork tailored to every project need.
We’re currently looking for a full-time HVAC Technician to join our team and help meet the increasing demand across Whitewater Region and surrounding areas. Type: Full-time
Compensation: $25.00 to $45.00 per hour, depending on licensing and experience. A work vehicle is provided. Pension and benefits will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
Duties & Responsibilities (included but are not limited to):
– Perform knowledgeable diagnostics, quality installation, troubleshooting, repair and installation work on residential HVAC systems and/or equipment.
– Manage positive customer relationships by respectfully identifying their needs, provide knowledgeable recommendations, and ensuring timely installation and/or maintenance.
– Provide after-hours on-call service on an as-needed basis.
– Maintain and uphold all health and safety practices on job sites, including the proper handling of carbon monoxide, natural gas, propane, and A2L refrigerants.
– Other duties as required.
Skills, Abilities & Other Requirements:
– G2 licence (mandatory).
– 3+ years of residential experience as a HVAC Technician (preferred).
– Valid 313D refrigeration certificate (preferred).
– Valid Ozone Depletion Prevention Certificate (ODP) (preferred).
– Gas fitters certification (G2) license (preferred not mandatory).
– Ability to fabricate and install sheet metal components would be considered an asset.
– Ability to read and work from mechanical/electronic drawings, HVAC/R schematics, etc.
– Ability to problem-solve, multi-task and adaptable to shifting demands.
– Knowledge of CSA B149.1:25 gas code.
– Must possess the required knowledge to perform their duties safely and in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and its regulations.
– Must be physically able to perform the essential duties of the position, including safely lifting and handling equipment weighing up to 75 pounds.

– Demonstrating integrity and respect at all times.
– Located in the Ottawa Valley or be willing to relocate.
– Must possess a valid Driver’s License and be willing to provide a driver abstract.
