Job Title: Gardener / Landscaping Crew Member Company: Art & Soul Gardens
Location: 250 Pembroke St. W, Pembroke, Ontario
Pay: $17.60
Hours: Approximately 35 hours per week
Start Date: May 11, 2026
Job Description: Art & Soul Gardens is seeking a reliable, positive and hardworking Gardener / Landscaping Crew Member to join our team for the upcoming season. This is a physically demanding outdoor position suited for someone who enjoys working with plants, soil, and landscape projects while being part of a creative gardening team.
Responsibilities:
• Planting flowers, shrubs, and garden beds
• Building retaining walls, patios and walkways
• Soil preparation, mulching, and garden maintenance
• Weeding, pruning, shoveling
• Assisting with landscaping installations and garden builds
• Loading/unloading soil, mulch, plants, stone, and landscaping materials
• Heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs or more) and moving materials around job sites
• Maintaining tools and equipment • Supporting landscaping projects at residential and commercial properties
Requirements:
• Ability to perform heavy physical work outdoors in varying weather
• Ability to lift and move heavy materials regularly
• Reliable transportation to and from the shop location
• Strong work ethic and ability to follow instructions
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Previous gardening or landscaping experience is an asset but not required
• Positive attitude and creative mindset
• Passion for working outdoors with no issues with weather conditions
