Perth Bursaries

Fall Bursary Applications are available from late August – early October.
Winter Bursary Applications are available from late December to early February
Spring Bursary Applications are available from late April 20 to early June

You can now apply for all bursaries online through ACSIS, the student information portal.


Funds for bursaries marked with an asterisk are matched through the Ontario Trust for Student Support (OTSS). To be eligible, you must be a Canadian Citizen and have been a resident of Ontario for at least 12 consecutive months, and must not have attended full-time post-secondary studies in the year prior to submitting your bursary application.

Algonquin College Alumni and Friends Network Bursary*

Awarded to a student(s) related to an alumnus of Algonquin College who can demonstrate financial need.

Algonquin College Student Assistance Bursary

Awarded to a student(s) based on financial need.

Algonquin College Students’ Association Jack Doyle Bursary*

Awarded to student(s) who can demonstrate financial need and represent the Students’ Association mission to inspire student success. Current Students’ Association Board Members are not eligible.

Canerector Foundation Scholarship in the Skilled Trades

Awarded to full-time students who have demonstrated passion and desire to build a successful career in the skilled trades. Canerector Foundation Scholars commit to mentoring current and prospective skilled trades students at Algonquin College; participate in co-curricular events; and, maintain a minimum of 3.0 grade point average (equivalent to the letter grade B).

Dual Credit Bursary

Awarded to secondary school and adult high school graduates who have successfully completed an Algonquin College Dual Credit course who can demonstrate financial need.

Frank and Maria Hatz Bursary*

Awarded to a student(s) who can demonstrate financial need with special consideration given to current or past staff of the Carleton Lodge (a City of Ottawa Long Term Care Home) or children of current or past staff of Carleton Lodge.

The Friendship Bursary

Awarded to a student enrolled in any program at the Perth campus who can demonstrate financial need.

Grand & Toy Bursary*

Awarded to a student(s) who can demonstrate financial need.

Jim and Penny Reklitis Bursary

Awarded annually to a full-time Ottawa Campus student who can demonstrate financial need.

Johnson Inc. Bursary*

Awarded to a student(s) at the Ottawa, Perth, or Pembroke campuses who can demonstrate financial need. Special consideration will be given to student(s) related to alumni.

Kiwanis Club of Manotick Bursary*

Awarded to a student(s) who can demonstrate financial need with special consideration given to student(s) who reside in Manotick or surrounding area.

Masonic Foundation of Ontario Bursary

Awarded to a student(s) enrolled in a two year diploma program who can demonstrate financial need.

Metis Nation of Ontario Bursary*

Awarded to Metis student(s) who are not registered as an Indian under the Indian Act or as an Inuk on an Inuit Registry. The bursary recipients are chosen by the Metis Nation of Ontario.

Military Families Fund – Sens Foundation Bursary*

Awarded to military members, partners of military members and /or children of military members who can demonstrate financial need.

Ontario First Generation Bursary

Awarded to a student(s) who is the first generation in their family to attend post secondary studies and has been a resident of Ontario for at least 12 consecutive months.

Raymonde Hanson Bursary*

Awarded to a student(s) who can demonstrate financial need in a two or three year program.

Rotary Club of Ottawa – Kanata Sunrise Bursary*

Awarded to a student(s) who can demonstrate financial need. Special consideration will be given to students living in West Carleton, Stittsville, Kanata or Goulborn.
