Salvation Army Food/Clothing Drive
Posted on Tuesday, October 21st, 2014

Police Foundations students facilitated a food & clothing drive for the Salvation Army Disaster Services recently which was a great success. They raised over $300 dollars and two bins full of food and clothing.
The Salvation Army’s Community & Family Services provide immediate assistance and follow-up to families and singles in the Ottawa Area. This includes: groceries, clothing, furniture and transportation. In emergency situations, people are provided with basic food assistance on a temporary basis. After hours, this service is provided through the main Booth Centre front desk. Thei caseworkers refer clients to other support services in the community.
