There are people who truly exemplify the words “go the extra miles.”

Cathy Palmer is truly one of these “go the extra mile” people.

For the past ten years, Cathy has volunteered to oversee forming a team of College ticket sellers to raise funds for the annual Lucky Pay Day Staff Lottery – these funds have raised in excess of $280,315 for the Lucky Payday Staff Lottery Bursary but just as important is the Lottery raises team spirit and Cathy is at the helm of this special activity.

This year, Cathy also went the extra mile as she was the point person “Volunteering” to be the one who responded to Algonquin retirees as the Foundation reached out to SELL OUT THE Retirees XMAS Social – the first time in seven years. Cathy welcomed the retirees on the phone, through email and she greeted all the retirees at the luncheon and did so with great COLLEGE spirit and fellowship.
