Mark Crane

Information Technology Services

I would like to nominate Mark Crane for the President’s Star Award.

Mark has been with the college for many years, and currently works for the Telephony/Networking section of the Information Technology Services (ITS) department.

The work that he performs on a day to day basis ensures that clients telephone and network systems are properly functioning to reduce any downtime. Both systems are crucial for student and staff success.

As a Work Order Coordinator for Service Desk, my interactions with Mark are mostly regarding matters of high importance, and he is always willing to drop everything he is doing to help a student or client, and does it with a smile on his face. He also takes the time to explain things so others have a better understanding of the systems and their interactions.

It’s staff like Mark that encourages others to follow in his footsteps and make Algonquin college a great college.

It’s with great pleasure that I nominate Mark Crane for this award.
