Enterprise Reporting Portal Team

Development of the ENTERPRISE REPORTING PORTAL in support of PQR is complete. Instead of being provided paper based copies of key survey data, the Program Quality Review (PQR) Team Leaders, Chairs, and Deans are now able to access the five years of historical program data used in PQR via a secure, web-based repository. Prior to development of this Portal, this information could only be provide in hard copy making analysis challenging. Through the Enterprise Reporting Portal, Program level KPI information will be available for viewing and downloading and the Program Mix, Course Assessment Roll Up, Registration, Failure Rate, Withdrawal Reason reports, also at the program level, can be filtered online. The system has the added capability of exporting to Excel for detailed data analysis. PDF export is also available. This is the first step towards a full College reporting system.

I am nominating four people for a President’s Star Award to recognize both their initiative and their hard work in designing, developing and implementing the Enterprise Reporting Portal:

Wilma McCormack, Program Quality Assurance Administrator, Academic Development: Proposed the concept and guided the development to meet the needs of PQR with the view to other potential College uses in the future.

Michael Adams, Senior Programmer/Analyst – Department Applications, ITS: Principle programmer/analyst; listened carefully to the requirements and translated these into an effective tool.

Cristy Richards, Administrative Officer, Academic Operations and Planning: liaison with ITS in design; worked closely with the developers to bring the academic area perspective to the project; provided much of the data to populate the site.

Trevor Lukey, Programmer/Analyst, ITS: assisted in programming.

This project is a perfect example of Algonquin staff working together, across departments, to develop a tool to support quality, excellence, and continuous improvement in the programs at the College with the ultimate goal of increased student success.
