Sexual Violence Prevention Training
Help us create a safer campus!
We are pleased to offer you this self-directed sexual violence awareness and prevention training in our ongoing efforts to foster a safe and respectful environment at Algonquin College. Enrol in the training today and do your part to contribute to a campus culture that values respect and consent and is free of sexual violence.
There are four modules in this training. With the help of character-driven scenarios, you will learn about:
- Sexual violence and who is impacted
- How consent means more than “yes means yes”
- How to intervene if you see something inappropriate happening
- What to do if someone tells you they have been sexually assaulted
Having this kind of knowledge is a baseline for healthy relationships!
Training is open to all Algonquin College students. Students who complete the training and the final quiz will be entered into weekly draws. Winners will be drawn on the following dates:
- Wednesday, October 1
- Wednesday, October 15
- Wednesday, November 5
- Wednesday, November 26
- Bonus Draw: Wednesday, December 10! In recognition of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence (Nov. 25–Dec. 10), we’re extending the giveaway! Complete the training by December 10 for a chance to win in our special bonus draw.
