How much hands-on experience is involved in this program?
Approximately 50% of the program involves hands-on, in-lab work. The other 50% of the program is in-class and includes theoretical work
Will I be a full-fledged mechanic when I graduate from this program?
No, to become a mechanic, you will have to go through the Automotive Service Apprenticeship process; however, this program (Motive Power Technician) will give you the fundamentals to get a job in the industry.
Do I have to supply my own tools when taking this program?
No, the students in the Motive Power Technician program have access to a full range of hand tools and the other equipment required for this program.
