Mental Health Awareness Week (MHAW) is an annual Algonquin College education campaign designed to help open the eyes of students and employees to the benefits of staying mentally healthy. Join us for a variety of events from January 28 to February 1.

Good2Talk

10am-1pm at 4 Corners
Good2Talk is a free, confidential helpline for post-secondary students, providing professional counselling and information and referrals for mental health, addictions and well-being. Stop by to chat with a Good2Talk representative about the services they provide!

Jeopardy Game

1pm-4pm in Student Commons (E Building)
Play a round of Jeopardy to get free swag as you learn about on- and off-campus mental health resources!

First Eyes

1pm-4pm at Savoir Fare
Stop by to chat with representatives from First Eyes, which aims to minimize the impact mental illness may have on families through education on early signs and intervention plans.

AC Hub Workshop: DIY Soy Candles

7pm-9pm in the AC Hub (2nd Floor, Student Commons)
Create your very own DIY soy candles at this workshop led by White Space Goods! Each student will hand-pour two candles; all materials provided. Space is limited; register in advance.
